3 Things You Should Never Do at a Casino

When you’re feeling lucky, there’s nothing better than a quick gamble. Whether you decide to check out the various online casinos now found all over the internet, or to make your way to your nearest bricks and mortar casino, there’s always fun to be had and potential money to be won. However, if you do find yourself at/in the casino, it’s important to know the rules and etiquette and to abide by them at all times. If you fail to do so, you could potentially land yourself in some very hot water and may be asked to leave. Even when using online casinos, there are still rules you must adhere to. To ensure that you stay on the good side of the house, and that you don’t wind up blacklisted anytime soon, here’s a look at 3 things you should never do at a casino.

Gamble whilst drunk

When you’re relaxing and enjoying yourself, one or two drinks can be fun. The booze may help you to relax and give you a warm and pleasant feeling that enhances your gambling experience. However, if you find yourself drinking too much alcohol, things could turn nasty. If you gamble while drunk in online casinos, you could get reckless with your spending and risk more money than you should. In a physical casino, if you gamble whilst drunk, you could upset/distract the other customers, and you may be asked to leave.

Take your bad mood out on the croupier

When you gamble and win, all seems right with the world. You’ll feel happy, you’ll have made money, and you’ll be having fun. When you’re on a losing streak however, the same cannot be said. If you’re losing, you’ll likely not be in the best of moods. The last thing you should do when you lose however, is take your bad mood out on the croupier and blame them. The game is not “fixed” the croupier did not have an unfair advantage, and they were not “out to get you”. They were simply doing their job and the last thing they need is a heap of verbal abuse being thrown their way because you lost and are in a bad mood.

Yell out tired clichés

In your own home, if you use online casinos you can yell out whatever you like. In fact, within reason, you can do what you like. If you want to sit in your underwear gambling on your iPad while eating crisps and snacks, that’s fine. If you want to yell out tired old clichés which are normally associated with casinos and gambling, that is also fine. What you should not do however, is yell out tired old clichés in a real casino. You know, phrases such as ‘show me the money!’ or ‘Daddy needs a new pair of shoes’ and those types of things. They’re annoying, cheesy, distracting, and they will not help you make the best impression in front of your peers.
