BetRegal Free Bets and Promotions
Other Betregal Platforms
Betregal is also known for it’s Casino;
After opening in 2017, BetRegal has caught the attention of many for their sports products and online casino. Owned by The Regal Group, the sportsboook is powered by AG Communications and you might be wondering whether the betting is worth your time. Thankfully, we’ve tested the platform extensively and can bring you an answer today.
In this review, we’re going to go through the welcome bonus, registration process, how it works on mobile, available markets, payment methods, and more. Although only in operation for two years, BetRegal already sponsors Dundalk FC in Ireland, so we’re excited about this one.
Note: We’re only concentrating on the sportsbook in this review.
First and foremost, registration only takes a few moments and it’s what you expect with any betting site these days. As usual, you input your information including;
- Email address
- Phone number
- Date of birth
Although we haven’t really seen any, you also have an opportunity to enter a bonus code at this point. Don’t worry, there’s still a generous welcome offer (more on this in a moment!). From here, you can make your first deposit and get started.
If you win a bet, it’s time to withdraw, and this is where some new bettors have had issues. In case you didn’t know, all betting accounts need to be verified before the user can withdraw. For us, the very fact that BetRegal has this step is great news because it’s actually a regulation in the industry.
After clicking on ‘My Account’, find ‘Documents Upload’ and this is where you can send a passport, driver’s license, utility bill, or any other document that confirms your identity and address.
As promised, all new accounts come with a free bet worth €10. If you don’t see it after signing up, don’t worry. First, you need to deposit and then place a bet of €10 or higher. As long as the odds are higher than 2.00, you’ll get the welcome bonus.
If the first bet is settled within the first 14 days, your free bet of €10 will be waiting in your account for the next 14 days; you won’t be able to place anything lower than 1.80 (odds). If your free bet comes in, the winnings come in cash and this can be withdrawn after it goes through the clearing process.
As a side note, there are no wagering requirements and the stake of the bet will not come back with the winnings.
User Experience – Desktop vs Mobile
When first visiting BetRegal, we think you’ll agree that the website looks fantastic. Using the SB Tech platform, it doesn’t look too cluttered like some other websites. Unfortunately, we did have a problem with the loading screen. In terms of usability, it can get frustrating when attempting to change sport and the loading screen continuously shows. It only happens when changing sport, but we would imagine that this would be more of a problem for those with a poor internet connection.
We should also note that some users haven’t been able to load BetRegal on Google Chrome. This isn’t a problem for everyone, and it seems to work well on Internet Explorer, Safari, and Mozilla. Either way, we enjoyed the search function so that you don’t have to waste time looking for individual teams or selections. Instead, just type in the team and get their matches up immediately.
What about mobile? Well, we really loved using BetRegal on mobile and would say that it’s stronger than the desktop version. Some will be disappointed by the lack of an app, but it is an HTML 5 platform which means that it works well on smartphones and devices of all shapes and sizes.
Payment and Banking
Normally, new betting websites are restricted with their banking methods. Not BetRegal. In fact, we were completely surprised by the sheer number of options. In each transaction, you need to deposit a minimum of €10 and it gets through almost immediately. In terms of wire transfers, BetRegal claim that it can take five working days in some cases. If nothing happens after 10 days, you’re encouraged to get in touch to resolve the problem.
If you’ve been on a lucky streak and now want to withdraw your winnings, it’s a simple process and takes 48 hours to clear. If you change your mind in the middle of this processing period, it’s possible to cancel. During our testing, it took just over 48 hours for us to get our money back through both debit card and Neteller.
As mentioned previously, withdrawals are NOT possible without first sending across documents and verifying your account.
If you plan to bet on sports, you need to know what sort of markets exist because this has the potential to make BetRegal a redundant service. Don’t worry, they cover both horse racing and football extensively. With top league football games, we found nearly 200 individual markets while even lower league matches (for those who love a wacky accumulator) still had around 150 markets.
With all UK and Ireland horse racing covered, you’ll never be wanting more in this regard. What’s more, BetRegal also offers users opportunities to bet on horse racing in South Africa, France, Australia, the US, and the Middle East.
Elsewhere, US sports, tennis, and golf are covered well. If you like to go beyond this, you will find betting options with;
- Motor racing
When first playing around with BetRegal, one thing we really appreciated was the consistency with the pricing structure. There were clearly some markets performing better than others, but we didn’t spot any problems or any that weren’t able to hold their own.
These days, bettors want more than just the standard options, and this is where RegalOdds comes in. If you like daily price boosts and special bets, this is a fantastic part of their service. At the moment, it’s dominated by football, but the boosts were notable and well worth some attention.
Again, you don’t expect a bookmaker with very little history to be able to provide much in the way of customer support, but we were pleasantly surprised. As well as an email address, BetRegal provides phone details and a live chat feature. Furthermore, they are an active member of the C.A.R.E (Customers Are Really Everything) program. As the name suggests, this is a program that allows customers easy access to support whenever they need it. In our opinion, many other bookmakers should follow in BetRegal’s footsteps.
If you have a problem but don’t quite need help just yet, we recommend the FAQ section. This is a fantastic resource from BetRegal, and the support team will often refer customers to the page when the requests or questions are covered there.
Responsible Gambling Support
Gambling addiction is a growing problem and the very best bookmakers help their customers to prevent such addition, and BetRegal is included in this list. In fact, users are able to set up depositing limits during the sign-up phase which we liked. To withdraw money, users also need to provide documents. As a part of GamStop, we’re not sure whether this will change in the future (or at least be adjusted in some way).
There are plenty of features for people who need assistance with a betting problem including;
- Time outs
- Deposit limits
- Session time limits
- Reality checks
For many, they enjoy betting in-play and this is a brilliant feature of BetRegal. We mentioned earlier that the overall layout of the website has even carefully considered, and this is especially true of the live football section.
Seen right across the bookie industry, the page has three tiers; while the left shows the matches, the middle has one specific game and the right displays a match centre with stats and everything else you need. If you’re trying to follow multiple games at once, the handy chart showing who has been performing best will help. For those who log in later than normal and need to make a quick decision as to who to back, this is a brilliant feature.
For bettors who find themselves online most days, the favouriting system allows users to save betting markets. Rather than continually scrolling down to find the right in-play market, you can have your favourites at the top every single time.
Can BetRegal really compete with the bigger names in terms of stats? Yes, and this is because they have teamed up with Sports Radar. If you bet on football exclusively, we think you’ll like this partnership because a link to stats is provided with every game. Unfortunately, links aren’t always available for other sports so you may need to access it from the homepage instead.
In our short time using BetRegal, we found that they provided more than enough data. You may have a stats website that you trust already, but it still comes in handy for anybody that doesn’t (or the casual bettor). There is a drawback, however, in that this doesn’t cover horse racing.
For other features, we really liked the bet slip. This sounds simple, and it doesn’t exactly affect the performance of the website, but it’s easy to navigate and looks good while building a bet. With the bets themselves, there are three types; singles, combo, or system. Each bet is kept separate and you can also cash out on each betting slip which just makes the experience so much easier to manage (especially while trying to keep an eye on several bets at once!).
Before we talk about the current promotions on the website, we should note that BetRegal sometime offers a special 99% payout offer. Rather than the normal 6%, this is where the bookmaker only takes 1% of the cut from bets. If you like the sound of this, keep an eye on the website because they are posted daily. Even when this payout percentage is offered, they don’t place a restriction on stake so it’s a good way to make extra money on each bet.
If you like the sort of platforms that allow you to build points and go through a ranking system, BetRegal is the one for you. With the account active, you immediately enter the VIP club. Essentially, every single bet earns you points, and these contribute to the ranking system. For those who use BetRegal the most, they’re likely to reach the Prestige ranking.
Does this benefit your betting experience? Yes, those with a higher ranking actually get the more attractive offers. Once you reach Prestige level, you can enjoy the following;
- Personalised offers
- Monthly cashback
- Express cash out
- Personal account manager
- 50 free weekly casino games
- Additional welcome offers
Should You Try BetRegal?
This is the big question, and one of the reasons you’re reading our review, right? For us, we were surprised by BetRegal and we think it’s performing better than many other new bookmakers who try to enter the market. With plenty of markets and particular support for football and horse racing, we like the aesthetics of the website and the pricing structure too. Even for in-play betting, it’s a great option.
Once you add the VIP club, it rewards regular customers (the many promotions would make an account worthwhile anyway). Why not give BetRegal a go today?
