Betting site Novibet secures its largest horse-racing partnership deal
Novibet, one of the best known betting sites in Ireland, has announced that it has secured an important new deal making it the 2023 official betting partner for the prestigious Tattersalls Irish Guineas Festival. The popular event will take place over 3 days, from 26th to 28th May 2023, at the Curragh Racecourse in Newbridge. Exclusively, Novibet will be named as the sponsor of six of the races over the course of the Festival, thus securing unprecedented exposure to the large amount of horse-racing fans and bettors descending upon the racecourse for one of the most popular events in Irish horse-racing.
This weekend, County Kildare will be the place to be for those excited about horse-racing. Fans will enjoy the Tattersalls Irish 2000 Guineas on the Saturday and the Tattersalls Irish 1000 Guineas and the Tattersalls Gold Cup on the Sunday, with Novibet sponsoring races across all three days, including the Novibet Guineas Festival Premier Handicap and the Novibet Emerald Mile. The deal is a large success for Novibet, with industry expects confirming that this is the betting site’s largest horse-racing deal to date. The first Irish Guineas horse-racing event took place over 100 years ago, in 1921. It was Ireland’s version of the Guineas horse-racing weekends at Rowley Mile in Newmarket, and horses who ran the English Guineas in earlier in the year often then take part in the Irish Guineas in late May. The Festival is for thoroughbred horses only. The Irish Guineas is always eagerly anticipated and well-attended, because it is the first major event of the Irish horse-racing season, and the first of the Classics. The Festival is even more important because it is held at one of the most iconic Irish racecourses, the Curragh, which has been used for horse-racing for over 300 years.
Novibet’s Ireland Country Manager Karl Riley also commented on the new partnership deal:

Novibet has had several very successful months in which it has secured some very important partnership and sponsorship deals. In March this year the betting site, which is headquartered in Greece but has become a household name amongst Irish bettors, became the official sponsor of Brazilian football club Fortaleza. As part of the deal, Novibet’s logo will feature on the front of the club’s shirt, as well as on the shorts and the shirt sleeves. The agreement, initially signed for 2 years, will also include digital advertising across Social Media and branding and promotional materials across Castelão, Fortaleza’s home stadium.
The two sponsorship deals are very good news for anyone interested in Novibet, and show that the company continues with its ambitions to become one of the leading betting sites globally. Already very well-known in several European countries, Novibet is now looking to consolidate its presence in South America. It entered the Mexico betting market in November 2022 through its partnership with popular Mexican land-based casino provider Big Bola Casinos. Initial reports from the first six months of operation in Mexico show that Novibet has used its experience and technical know-how to make a name as one of the reliable and easy-to-use Mexican betting sites – features which also make it very popular in Irish betting and gaming. The further deal with Fortaleza showed that Novibet is serious about its presence in South America and is there to stay.
The new partnership with the Tattersalls Irish Guineas Festival is very likely to be a great success for Novibet. While not confirmed by either party, it is possible that, if beneficial to both the racecourse and the betting site, the sponsorship may be continued beyond 2023.
